Marley

To Karis' complete joy we have a puppy...temporarily! Our friend, Carrie just left for a trip to the States and we are keeping her 14 week old puppy while she is gone (and her toyota prado to John's complete joy). Like i said, Marley is only 14 weeks old but she is going to be a huge dog and is already a force to be reckoned with! Karis loves her but mostly from a distance! She really is big enough to more than knock Karis over. We have been considering getting a dog ever since we arrived in malawi and thought this might be a good chance to test it out. So far things are going really well and we are enjoying having her... and we are pretty sure we are fine without a dog! Which really has more to do with other potential changes in our life versus any challenges we have had with marley. she is actually a very good "Child" and sleeps through the night. I told JOhn it was sort of like having twins as we went for a walk and he was teaching Marley how to walk on a leash and I was convincing karis that she has to hold my hand. (since she pretty much refuses to ride in a stroller these days!)
